Onsite Program Overview
Follow the story outlined in these pictures to get an overview of the 21-month Verity onsite program.
At Verity, we apply ourselves to whatever we do. Studying happens represent a significant portion of our days.
Sometimes studying is fun…
Other times it gets overwhelming.
Some of us opt to work in our rooms…
while others of us prefer studying in the lobby…
or better yet, outside.
Of course there’s lots to do besides study…
There’s frequently volleyball in the evenings,
and flag-football or Ultimate Frisbee on Saturday afternoons.
In the winter we enjoy playing in the snow too.
Back inside, there’s dishpit duty and other weekly chores.
In addition to our responsibilities on campus, some of us tutor children each week at a local gospel mission.
Some of us run for fitness, even competing in area races.
Some of us prepare special music to share with the rest of the student body during chapel and symposium.
There are plenty of special events to spice up the routine (we students are cordially required to attend!).
such as the girls’ and guys’ campouts,
the Harvest Festival,
the Christmas banquet and talent show,
a foreign missions trip,
the senior trip to Kansas,
and Grad Week.
Many of our favorite moments occur in the everyday, such as a funny lunchtime conversation…
playing board games and card games in the Hospitality Room…
a game of Ping-pong…
or times of prayer and praise.
Frequent birthday parties and other events keep our social lives active…
and fellowship with friends is a regular occurrence.
After almost two years of “blood, sweat, and tears”—and plenty of laughter too—graduation finally arrives. For us, commencement is a day of celebrating friendship, as much as achievement.
Commencement is much more than an ending: it’s a beginning. Our time at Verity helps prepare us to live our lives to the honor and glory of God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Whatever we do after graduating from Verity, may we continue to “choose the way of truth.”
