Missions Trip to China 2005
The Class of 2005 traveled to Pinghu, China for their missions trip. 30 Verity students ministered to hundreds of Chinese students during Winter English Camps, January 19 – February 14, 2005.
Since written and verbal fluency in English is a prerequisite for university education, Chinese children study English in school and attend special camps during school vacations. Their main need is to practice speaking English.
Verity students were impressed by the diligence and persistence students applied to their studies, but sobered to learn that life for Chinese students consisted solely of education: only the ones who earned the highest marks would have success, but average or mediocre students would not find life worth living.
