Verity Institute

Innovative Higher Education

History

Verity was established in 2001 in response to a common dilemma faced by Christian home-educating families: “Do we ‘spiritually risk’ the contemporary college scene or do our sons attempt to be responsible providers for their future family without the increasingly expected college diploma?”

This need birthed the vision for an innovative higher education program that eliminates the pitfalls of traditional modern college and prepares young adults to be disciple-makers of our Lord Jesus Christ. Two years later, in the spring of 2003, the first Verity class graduated. In the summer of 2006, Verity moved from its original site in Flint, Michigan, to its present location at the IBLP’s South Campus in Indianapolis, Indiana. Since Verity’s beginning in 2001, six classes with over 250 students have graduated.
